Meeting House Sq Temple Bar

Meeting House Square, Temple Bar, Dublin 2
Sun 27 Oct, 8.00 – 10.00pm

Tickets: €16 (incl. €1 booking fee)

Sunday night at Bram Stoker Festival is ripe for some ‘Vampire Tales’ at ‘Meeting House Horrors’ the outdoor film screening series of your favourite spooky films, with ‘The Lost Boys’ winning the vote as the most in demand vampire film for our big screen!

The tagline for this 1987 thriller “Sleep all day. Party all night. Never grow old. Never die. It’s fun to be a vampire” – perfectly captures the bratty 1980s teen movie take on vampires, with its knowing mixture of attitude, gore, punky haircuts, goth music, and of course “the Coreys” (Corey Haim and Corey Feldman) providing comic relief at just the right moments.

Before the screening, we’re thrilled to be able to show a new short horror comedy – The Early House.

The Early House
Glen is a troubled teenager with one thing on his mind… revenge!
An after-hours Dublin boozer plays host to a nest of vampires in this new short horror-comedy from award-winning filmmakers Derek O’Connor and Ian Whelan, AKA Doris/Magee, created especially for this year’s Bram Stoker Festival.

Suitable for 15+. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Features some strong violence, with moderate language and drug use.

Venue is wheelchair accessible.

This is a fully seated outdoor event protected from the elements by Meeting House Square’s umbrellas, but you should dress for the temperature; we will have a generous but limited supply of blankets but feel free to bring your own & hot flasks if it’s cold!
