When is Dublin City Council Bram Stoker Festival?

Dublin’s most anticipated October event, Dublin City Council Bram Stoker Festival returns this October bank holiday weekend ready to thrill Dubliners and visitors alike with four days and nights of deadly adventures. From Friday 25 – Monday 28 October, the city will become a haven for the curious and the brave, offering everything from eerie family fun to deep dives into the world of Bram Stoker.

Where can I find the full programme of events?

There are now three events announced, with the full programme for the 2024 Dublin City Council Bram Stoker Festival to be announced on Tuesday 24 September. You can find information on all our events on our What’s On page. In the meantime, you can sign up to our Newsletter to keep up-to-date on all our latest announcements.

When do tickets go on sale?

Tickets for The Haunting of Gusty Nook and Dracula: Lucy’s Passion go on sale at 6pm on Tuesday 17 September. 

Tickets for other events go on sale on Tuesday 24 September.

Tickets for free but ticketed events will be available to book on Tuesday 1 October.

How can I buy tickets?

Tickets to all Dublin City Council Bram Stoker Festival events will be available to purchase from individual event pages.

Where a booking fee is charged on tickets, this will be included on top of the ticket price.

Should I book tickets in advance?

Yes. Demand for tickets to Dublin City Council Bram Stoker Festival events is high so early booking is advised.

If still available, tickets are sold on the door at venues and are subject to individual venue box office policies. Our website will list ticket availability on the date of each show. You can pay by card on the door at our events. Cash will also be accepted, exact change always appreciated.

The show I want to attend is sold out. Can I be put on a waiting list?

It may not be possible to offer a waiting list for a sold-out show. In the event that more tickets do become available, these will be listed on the individual event page.

Can I get a refund if I can no longer attend an event?

All sales are final. Strictly no refunds or exchanges. A booking fee of €1 per ticket purchased via our ticketing partner (TakeYourSeats) applies to all tickets and is included on top of the listed price. Will I be permitted if I arrive late to a festival event?

Please check individual event pages on our website for information on door/arrival times and the latecomer policy for individual events.

If an event is cancelled, will I receive a refund?

If an event is cancelled, you will receive a full ticket refund including fees.

Do you have events for families?

Yes. Dublin City Council Bram Stoker Festival includes many family-friendly events each year ranging from spectacle events to Stokerland and more. Please refer to our Family Friendly page for more information. Age guidance for each event is included on individual event pages. All under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Are there any free events?

The Festival is proud to offer many events free of charge. Please refer to the individual event pages to find out more.

What is the age suitability for festival events? How do I know if this show is appropriate for my children?

The content of some Dublin City Council Bram Stoker Festival shows may not be suitable for all audiences. Age suitability for each event is labelled on each individual event page.

Is the Macnas Parade happening during Dublin City Council Bram Stoker Festival in 2024?

The Macnas Parade will not be happening during Dublin City Council Bram Stoker Festival this year. We will, however, have a very exciting spectacle event which will be announced on Tuesday 24 September.

Dublin City Council Bram Stoker Festival holds an Open Call for events each year. We recommend you follow our social channels to keep up to date on announcements.
