Getting Around Info
Public Transport
Dublin offers excellent public transport options. Dublin Bus operates frequently and connects the city centre with outer areas.
The LUAS tram system has two lines: Red and Green, serving the city centre and suburbs. If you’re heading to and from the coast, the DART train is your best option.
If you’re visiting for a few days we recommend getting a Leap Card. The card is usable on buses, trams, and trains and will save you money if you are hopping from one side of the city to the other.
For all public transport questions visit the TFI website.
Walking & Cycling
Dublin is very walkable (weather permitting)
For a quicker option, try Dublinbikes, the city’s bike-sharing scheme, with stations throughout the city.
Taxis & Rideshares
Taxis are easy to find via the FreeNow app, or you can flag one down on the street.
Uber or Lynk also operate in Dublin, offering another convenient way to get around.
