Dublin City Council Bram Stoker Festival’s volunteer team are involved in all aspects of the festival; behind the scenes, ushering at our venues or acting as ambassadors at our events. There’s something for everyone keen to get involved and see what it takes to bring a festival of this size to life.

SIGN-UP TO VOLUNTEER
To confirm your place on the team, all volunteers are required to attend a briefing. At this briefing you will receive information about the festival, health & safety procedures and have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about volunteering at the festival.
This will happen closer to the event – the exact date, time and meeting link will be sent in advance.
Dublin City Council Bram Stoker Festival operates an equal opportunities policy. The festival does not tolerate any form of discrimination, bullying or abuse and will protect it’s volunteers from any such forms of behaviour.

It is festival policy that each applicant is available for a minimum of three volunteering periods.
Please be aware that the festival cannot provide any living, travel or accommodation expenses to volunteers.
Submission of this application form is not a guarantee of receiving a volunteer placement.
Due to the over-whelming responses to our volunteer calls, it may be unavoidable that some applicants do not receive a volunteer placement. Please don’t let this dissuade you from completing this form – we will do our utmost to ensure that each applicant receives a placement.
Volunteering for Front of House puts you at the forefront of the festival experience. The 2026 festival unfolds across many different spaces; the venues are the hub of Festival activity and as many of our volunteers are festival aficionados themselves, you get the opportunity to participate in and contribute to the dynamic atmosphere of a festival. Front of House volunteering activities includes admissions, ushering and general venue operations (crowd liaising & information point of contact). Front of House volunteers will be overseen by the event/venue manager.
Volunteers contribute their time at some of our outdoor events in a number of ways. These events are predominantly afternoon and evening shifts and you’ll have to be prepared to operate in changing weather conditions. These shifts are overseen by the production team and can provide those involved with valuable insight into the coordination of an event on this scale.
Volunteers may help our production team with event setup. This could involve hanging decorations, laying out workshop materials, and helping with the general preparations for our events. These shifts are overseen by the production team.
