Visiting Dublin for the festival?

Here’s what we recommend to make most of your vampire weekend in Dublin. Whether you’re crossing the veil from beyond our shores or travelling as mist from another county, this list is for you.

Where to Stay

Staycity, our official accommodation partner, is an Irish company, born here in Dublin, and its seven central locations will keep you close to the festival’s events.

Dublin Castle, Christchurch, Augustine and Tivoli are all handy for Smock Alley and Stokerland. Mark Street and City Quay are well placed for Trinity College, Merrion Square, the National Library and the Museum of Curiosities. Staycity’s City Centre location on Little Mary Street is a good starting point for exploring the northside and catching the Macnas spectacle.

Whatever location you choose, we know you’ll be welcomed across the threshold!

Getting Here

As vampires, you know you can move at lightning speed from one location to another, but if you choose to travel as a human, Dublin is well served with transport options.

Ferry

Stenaline is our preferred choice of ferry, with links to Dublin from Holyhead, and to Belfast from Carinryan and Liverpool.

Flying

Dublin Airport is well served, with flights landing daily from all over the world! It’s close to the city – when you land, hop in a cab or take the Aircoach or Dublin Express bus.

Bus

You can’t beat Bus Eireann for buses to Dublin from the rest of the country!

While You're Here

Supermarkets

We’re huge fans of Marks & Spencer especially as they are official supporters of our volunteer programme! There are M&S locations all over Dublin City Centre, so pop in for bloody good lunch deals, fang-licking dinners or picky bits.

Bars & Restaurants

Dublin’s one of the best cities in the world for food and drink, even if you’re immortal! On Monday 19 October, we’ll post our Deadly Deals page, listing special offers for festival goers in bars and restaurants across the city.
