Historian, author and host of the popular Three Castles Burning podcast, Donal Fallon leads this specially-commissioned walking tour through one of Dublin’s most enduring square miles: the eternal home of one of the finest collections of Victorian memorials, tombs, vaults and crypts in Ireland.
Amidst the headstones, you’ll encounter important names in the Irish supernatural tradition, including William Wilde and Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu and hear about their connections to Bram Stoker and the Dublin of his time.
A firm favourite of the festival, this tour sells out every year. As Mount Jerome is a working cemetery, the tour takes place on Sunday only, making places very, very limited. Early booking is strongly advised.

Attendees meet at the main gates. Access is via a shared, paved roadway (15 km/h vehicle speed limit applies) without separate elevated footpaths.
Space
Mount Jerome spans 47 acres. Main circulatory avenues are tarmac-paved; internal secondary paths are gravelled, aged, and can be quite narrow.
Accessible Bathroom / WC
An accessible WC with step-free access is located beside the Mount Jerome Victorian Chapel. Standard facilities in this block are up eight stone steps with handrails.

There will be no bar at this event.
Performance Space
A walking tour spanning historical avenues. Many secondary pathways are uneven and impassable for wheelchairs or mobility aids. This is an open-air event with minimal shelter; attendees should dress for inclement weather.

There are no public seats or benches along the walking route.

This is an outdoor daytime event. Ambient street/path lighting illuminates main avenues at dusk.
