Entry
Two ramps bring guests up from Smithfield Square to the cinema’s front door. There is step-free access to the venue. The doors are manual push-pull doors, but a member of staff will be there to assist.
Space
Light House Cinema has three different floors, all accessible by lift and staircase:
Accessible Bathroom / WC
There is a dedicated accessible toilet located on the mezzanine at -2 level; please ask a member of staff for the passcode to gain entry. A larger toilet cubicle is located in the ladies and gents bathrooms at -3 level. Both of these bathrooms have lowered sinks and handrails.
Bar
The ground floor bar counter height is 100cm with a lowered section of 75cm; the -3 level bar has a height of 120cm. The ground floor bar serves hot, cold, soft, and alcoholic drinks as well as hot and cold food. Straws are available and allergens are listed. The -3 level bar is accessed via steps or a ramp (turning right from the lift) and serves soft drinks, alcoholic beverages, and snacks.
Performance Space
Designated wheelchair-accessible spaces are located in the front row of Screen One with step-free access (steps lead up to subsequent rows). A complimentary carer seat is provided alongside each accessible seat.
Seating
In the bar areas on the ground floor and -3 level, there is low seating and chairs. All tables and chairs are moveable. Chairs have no armrests.
Sound
There is an induction Loop system in every screen. The Loop system must be activated in the hearing aid to connect; note that not all hearing aids are compatible.
Lighting
Throughout the venue, there will be brighter lights with some darkened areas due to atmospheric lighting. The bathrooms have direct white light. In the film screen, lights will be dimmed and then darkened when the movie begins. No strobe lighting will be used.
Quieter Room
There is no dedicated quiet room in the Light House, but the seating area on level -2 offers a quieter space away from the main crowd.
