Embrace the shadows of Dublin City Council Bram Stoker Festival with two Gothic-inspired life-drawing experiences after dark at Flux Studio.
Led by a visual artist, you will draw live models in Victorian-inspired costumes with a suitably spooky soundtrack and classic horror film projected around the studio setting the scene.
This family-friendly take on the experience also includes complimentary snacks and drinks. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
Later in the evening, expect a more after-hours take on life drawing – complimentary alcoholic beverages will be available.
FLUX is a genuine third space where artists and the wider community come together. We’re home to a diverse group of over 40 artists, designers, musicians and makers, including Solos, Decoy and DDR Radio. As a community-led organisation, we provide affordable studios alongside a unique event and exhibition space available for hire, creating a platform for independent artists and creative projects in the city centre.

FLUX is located on Chatham Row, just off the top of Grafton Street, D02 PA06. It is well served by public transport, with St Stephen’s Green Luas stop approximately a 3-minute walk away, as well as several nearby Dublin Bus routes. The route to the venue is via paved city-centre footpaths, with pedestrian crossings at nearby road junctions.
Paid parking is available on Drury Street and around St Stephen’s Green. As the area is busy, there may be regular pedestrian traffic and occasional temporary obstructions

Entry
Access from Chatham Row is through an open steel gate. There is one exterior step up to the front entrance fitted with a permanent concrete ramp; the entrance door will remain propped open.
The foyer and the gallery mezzanine are level and fully step-free. The lower gallery floor is down five steps with no lift; wheelchair users will be accommodated on the accessible mezzanine level overlooking the room.
Space
Historic multi-level building. Ground/first public floor houses the foyer, reception, shop, accessible WC, studios, and the gallery mezzanine.
The sunken gallery floor is accessed exclusively via five steps.
Accessible Bathroom / WC
A dedicated accessible toilet is located in the main entrance foyer. Fitted with bilateral handrails and a lowered sink; no key or code required.
Bar
For Session no 2. Complimentary alcohol will be available.
Performance Space
Life drawing setup in the main hall with models spotlighted centrally. Wheelchair users participate from the overlooking mezzanine. Drawing boards are provided for all seats.
Seating
Moveable classroom-style chairs without armrests arranged in theatre rows with aisles. Chairs with armrests are available upon request.
Sound
There will be no live music at the event. Background music will be played through the venue’s sound system.
No hearing loop system will be in place.
Ear protection is not required or expected.
Lighting
Our gallery normally has bright gallery lighting. However, for the event, the lighting will be dimmed to create a warmer, softer and more atmospheric mood.
No strobe lighting will be used during the event.
Quieter Room
No formal quiet room, but guests may access the staff kitchen or resident living room if they require time away from the crowd.
