Who needs shop-bought Hallowe’en costumes when you can make your own bespoke creation?
In this hands-on workshop, turn old textiles into a dramatic pair of wearable bat wings. Cut, shape and bring old materials to life just in time for Hallowe’en Night.
No sewing experience? No problem. You’ll learn simple techniques along the way so just come ready and willing to get stuck in!
All materials are provided, but if you have an old black t-shirt, dress, or bit of fabric in need of a second life, do bring it along.
Change Clothes is your community-based textile reuse hub. Based in The Liberties, we’re on a mission to prevent textile waste at its source, tackling the problem locally before it becomes a global issue. Along the way, we create opportunities for under employed people and spark meaningful change. Our goal is to make textile reuse community-focused, fun, affordable, and social.

Entry
The entrance to Digital Depot is on Roe Lane, with Change Clothes situated directly to the left of the main reception.
The studio is on the first floor up two flights of stairs. A chair lift is fitted to the stairs. A separate wheelchair platform lift is also available within the complex; wheelchair users who cannot use a chair lift are asked to email hello@changeclothes.org in advance so reception can prepare the lift. The studio door is heavy and will be unlocked; a doorbell is available if assistance is required.
Space
Ground-level entrance reception hall. First floor workshop studio accessed via stairs, chair lift, or platform lift.
Accessible Bathroom / WC
An accessible WC equipped with support handrails is available within the Digital Depot building.
Bar
There will be no bar at this event.
Performance Space
Hands-on craft workshop space centered around a low table. 1 dedicated wheelchair space is available per workshop session.
Seating
Low, armless chairs situated around shared low work tables.
Sound
No sound system or amplified noise will be used during these workshops.
Lighting
Bright, clear workshop utility lighting throughout.
Quieter Room
There is no designated quiet room.
