Dublin City Libraries present Suitcase Stories – Nosferatu By Freda O’Byrne
Atmospheric and very playful, this tiny world adventure brings the classic tale of Nosferatu to life, inspired by the 1922 silent horror film and the artistry of German Expressionist filmmaker F. W. Murnau.
Step into a world of puppetry, object theatre and fabulous storytelling as Freda O’Byrne explores the twists and turns of this classic tale. The entire story unfolds within a suitcase, creating a miniature world of shadows and unexpected surprises, accompanied by an original score by John Moore.
An intimate introduction to puppetry and visual theatre for older children aged 8+ and adults.
Freda uses an eclectic mix of genres to explore the stories of ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances. A physical theatre director, storyteller, performer and puppeteer with a first-class honours degree in performing arts, Freda creates tiny world performances in a suitcase, reaching out and engaging imaginations through storytelling and puppetry.

Charleville Mall library is serviced by multiple bus routes that stop within 100 metres of the library. The paths leading to the building are flat and in reasonable condition. The main entrance is step-free and fully accessible via a ramp.

There are two sets of automatic doors at the library entrance controlled by a touchpad to the left. The entrance to the events room is a traditional door, but can be kept open if required.
